Retreats are realms where witnessing and capturing these profound moments is a privilege that will never be lost on me. Being a retreat photographer is something that brings me great joy, but also a sense of purpose in a different way beyond other photography. Capturing someones transformation is no simple task; seeing them for exactly who they are, but also who they are becoming is kind of a big deal.

When you hire me as a retreat photographer, you’re hiring someone who understands, someone who is open and receptive, someone who witnesses, observes, and honours the sacredness of the shift happening before me. I mean, most of the time, depending on the retreat, people are having life altering shifts right in front of you, in real time. It can be overwhelming, but it’s a moment of pure magic that I am privileged to witness over and over again… and probably still cry, because these emotions come from a place purely of understanding.
