The FAQ
Do you Travel?
HECK YAH I DO! Live on the coast? I'm coming! Back in Ontario? I'll be right there. Hiking up a mountain to get that secluded elopement spot? Let me just grab my hiking gear.
How many photos do we get?
It really depends on the length of the session. If it's an hour, I guarantee a minimum of 80 images. If it's a wedding or elopement, depending on number of hours/days (if we're hiking to a location), starting at 5 hours - minimum of 500 images and it only goes up from there!
Do you retouch photos?
Absolutely! It's part of what you're paying for. I don't do any wild retouching unless requested. I like to keep things natural because everyone is already so beautiful!
How do we book you?
Fill out that sweet contact form! Scroll down a tiny bit, and you'll find a nice little button that says "Get In Touch". You can also find that button all over my website!
We'll have a consult call that will help me learn a little bit more about you and your dreams. After that, as soon as you pick a date and pay the 25% deposit to hold that date, it's yours! That deposit is crucial if you really want a special date and for me to be there with you instead of missing out to someone else.
How far out do you book?
It truly depends on the circumstance, but I do love planning ahead. If you have a specific date in mind that you feel is pretty far away, let's chat about it. I'm pretty flexible, especially when booking weddings + elopements in advance. However I've also booked weddings a month in advance because they just so happen to work out with my schedule! You never know until you ask :)
What should we wear?
This is season dependent for sure, but if you want to wear a flowy dress in the snow, I'm definitely not stopping you... In fact I encourage it! Wear what makes you feel your best and empowered. Wear what will have you looking back on these photos and thinking YES I loved that outfit! Part of your session fee includes a mood board from me that will provide posing and clothing ideas that match with the vibe you're wanting to achieve.
How long have you been doing this?
I've had a camera in my hand for 11 years, but I've been doing this professionally for 3 after attaining a Bach Degree in Photography!
How do we get our photos?
With every session, I upload all edited images to a private online gallery through a lovely website called Pixieset. Through there you can download the entire gallery, and I can even sort them all into categories for you! It is protected by a password only you and I know, and you can share the link with whoever you like! You can also add on a USB if that's something you'd like too.
Whats your turn around time?
For one hour sessions, it is a 1-2 weeks turn around time depending on if it's busy season. For weddings, 2 weeks-a month. BUT I will always provide sneak peaks within 24 hours!!!
Can you help us with planning?
I have this lovely thing that's part of all my wedding + elopement packages called a Wedding Guide! I've put a lot of time and love into it, and it is SURE to help you with everything you need, down to the little details you might not think about. I've done this quite a few times, and I hate to see anyone miss out on little details, so I made this to help YOU! :)
What should we do for an engagement session?
Engagement sessions are special. I like to have couples dig a little bit into their relationship and what matters most to them. Special moments from the past, special places, etc. With this, you will usually come up with an ideal or special location. Whether it's your home, your favourite BC park, or doing your favourite activity together, I'm there!
